  • DATE: Tuesday, November 05, 2013
  • TIME: 10:30 a.m.
  • PLACE: Auditorium State Capitol 415 South Beretania Street

A G E N D A

The following measure(s) were previously heard on October 31, November 1, November 2, and November 4, 2013.

SB1 RELATING TO EQUAL RIGHTS.

Recognizes marriages between individuals of the same sex. Extends to same-sex couples the same rights, benefits, protections, and responsibilities of marriage that opposite-sex couples receive. Effective 11/18/13.

DECISION MAKING TO FOLLOW

The Committees will continue to hear testimony from registered testifiers who were unable to testify on October 31, November 1, November 2, or November 4, beginning with number 3201 and concluding with number 5184. NO NEW TESTIFIERS WILL BE ALLOWED TO REGISTER AND NO NEW WRITTEN TESTIMONY WILL BE ACCEPTED.

It will not be necessary to wait to the end of the hearing to answer questions.

If you require special assistance or auxiliary aids and/or services to participate in the House public hearing process (i.e., sign or foreign language interpreter or wheelchair accessibility), please contact the Committee Clerk at 586-6180 at least 24 hours prior to the hearing for arrangements. Prompt requests submitted help to ensure the availability of qualified individuals and appropriate accommodations.

For further information, please call the Committee Clerk at 586-6180.

Selected meetings are broadcast live. Check the current legislative broadcast schedule on the "Capitol TV" website at www.capitoltv.org or call 536-2100.
