From  Citizens Against the Maui County Farming Ban

Published on Sep 24, 2014

Former Prosecuting Attorney for the City and County of Honolulu Peter Carlisle describes in detail just how far the Farming Ban initiative’s legal reach would go. Home gardeners growing certain plants, and even an ‘accomplice’ helping to water them, could face thousands of dollars in fines and up to one year in jail for violating the initiative’s provisions. Please look into the facts about the Farming Ban initiative before you vote.

KITV: Anti-GMO Spokesperson Dissembles -- "What is being visually shown in that ad is a complete misrepresentation," said Sam Small of the Shaka Movement.  "They show carrots and zucchini and say that a home gardener could be in violation of this GMO law.  And that couldn't possibly happen because there are no GMO carrots, there is no GMO broccoli, there are no GMO tomatoes."

Editor's Note: Yes.  But there are many gardeners growing GM corn or GM papaya who may be arrested and imprisoned for one year under the anti-GMO law.  Small must know this.  Who does he think he is fooling?
