Takai vs Takai on Homeland Security Funding
By Andrew Walden @ 2:34 AM :: 5531 Views :: Congressional Delegation, Military

by Andrew Walden

Neil Abercrombie was in Congress for 20 years; he had to come home and get elected Governor before Hawaii voters could find out what he was really all about.

Is Hawaii media already providing the same cover-up treatment for newly-elected Rep. Mark Takai?

With the Department of Homeland Security running out of money, Mark Takai came to Honolulu International Airport Wednesday to tell reporters today he would like to end the political "impasse" over funding Homeland Security.

But just one month ago, Takai voted against the Fiscal 2015 Appropriation for Homeland Security.  Why?  Because the bill also barred the use of funds for President Obama's illegal unilateral grant of amnesty to millions of illegal aliens.

Twenty-six states are suing the Obama administration--and on February 18 Federal District Court Judge Andrew Hansen granted a temporary restraining order blocking the Administration from implementing its unilateral amnesty for illegals.  Judge Hansen pointed out the Secretary of Homeland Security is "is not just rewriting the laws; he is creating them from scratch."

The "political impasse" consists of the Senate Democrat filibuster against the Senate bill which would fund the Department of Homeland Security without funding amnesty.  They are filibustering for an illegal policy already slapped down by a Federal judge.

Did any reporter ask Takai whether he was attacking Hirono and Schatz' refusal to pass DHS funding?

Did any reporter ask Takai whether he regretted last month's vote against funding DHS?

To ask the question is to answer it.

On February 5, Senators Hirono and Schatz voted against cloture which would have ended the Democrat filibuster against DHS funding.  Civil Beat's headline that day: "Hirono Says Senate Must Resist ‘Manufactured Crisis, Political Games.’"

A one-party system cannot exist without political enforcers.  Know them.

Homeland Security Department funding will run out February 27 if the Senate does not act.
