RELATED: House may not have votes for civil unions

HB 444 Potential Action in House

As most of you already know, action is focused on the House which has to agree or disagree to the amendments made by the Senate. If they agree, then all House members will need to vote to approve. If the House disagrees to the amendment, it will then be given to a Conference Committee which will consist of members from BOTH the House and Senate.

Immediately, we need you to:

  1. Come down to the Capitol, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday (Jan. 27-29) to visit House Members office. Meet in front of the 3rd Floor Conference Room #325 at 10:00 am to receive instructions and materials.
  2. Attend the House Sessions on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday (Jan. 27-29) at 12 Noon. Wear white and the iVOTE button. Meet in front of 3rd Floor Conference Room #325 at 11:30 am
  3. Call, e-mail or fax a request to VOTE NO on HB444 to your State Representative (if you have not done so already).  To send one email to all the House Representatives, click here.  It is very important to emphasize if you are a voter & resident of their district.  (Click here to send a message to your House Representative)
  4. Call all the other Representatives, especially those of you on the neighbor islands Representative(s) (Click here for a listing of phone numbers for the House members)

The VOTE is close and you CAN make a difference, but we need you to act NOW!
