Djou Raises Triple the Amount Caldwell and Carlisle Raised

News Release from Djou Campaign August 3, 2016

Honolulu, HI - The Djou for Mayor campaign filed its second campaign finance report today with the Hawaii State Campaign Spending Commission.  This is the first campaign spending report where all major candidates were raising and spending campaign funds over the same period of time (July 1- July 29, 2016).

Djou for Mayor reported having raised approximately $225,000 in contributions with just under $200,000 cash-on-hand for the reporting period.  The Djou for Mayor campaign not only outraised both the Caldwell and Carlisle campaigns, the Djou for Mayor campaign nearly doubled the funds raised by both of the other major campaigns combined.

According to Campaign Spending reports filed today:

Total raised

DJOU          $225,507.05

Caldwell       $68,855.23

Carlisle        $56,748.19

"Our team's exceptionally strong fundraising numbers is a direct reflection of the growing momentum and incredible excitement around the Djou for Mayor campaign," stated Jon Kunimura, Djou for Mayor campaign spokesperson.  "Team Djou's ability not only raise more funds, but to nearly double the funds raised by the incumbent mayor and former mayor combined shows the strong energy building behind our campaign in the closing days of the Primary Election."
