Memorial Day Remembrance Ceremony

SCHOFIELD BARRACKS, Hawaii - U.S. Army Garrison, Hawaii (USAG-HI) will hold a Memorial Day Remembrance Ceremony at 9 a.m., May 31, at the Schofield Barracks Post Cemetery. The public is invited to join the garrison as it honors Soldiers who gave their lives in service of our country.

Col. Matthew Margotta, commander, USAG-HI, will be the speaker for this event. Representatives from the Military Order of the Purple Heart, Disabled American Veterans, Veterans of Foreign Wars, and American Legion will also participate, helping place wreaths in the cemetery to honor fallen comrades.

Attendees should enter through Schofield Barracks' Lyman Gate, off Kunia Road. Drivers should allow for extra time at Lyman Gate due to new security measures in effect. Vehicles without a current military decal (DD Form 2220) or Army installation pass will be issued a temporary pass at the Lyman Gate Visitor Control Center.

Drivers must provide a current driver's license, vehicle registration, safety inspection, proof of insurance, and valid photo identification for each occupant, in order to access the installation.
