Tyler Roukema to Lead SBH

In a Saturday SBH Board of Directors "Advance" (SBH doesn't believe in "Retreat!") Sam Slom, President & Executive Director for the past 31 years (he guaranteed Founder Lex Brodie "six months of his time" to reorganize Lex's small business organization back in March, 1983,) announced his retirement, effective December 31, 2014.
Slom and the Board unanimously tapped successful business owner (Outback Steakhouse Hawaii Kai) Tyler Roukema to take the reins of SBH, Hawaii's most effective small business organization. Roukema, a former "SBH Young Entrepreneur of the Year" awardee, three years ago, has the confidence of the organization to bring fresh, new leadership to SBH.
A more formal and detailed announcement will follow next month with exciting new changes ahead for SBH and the often overlooked small business community.
