Despite Criticism by Senate Judiciary Chair, Public Rallies in Support of Ed Kubo for Circuit Court Judge

By Eliza Talbot

Ed Kubo served as U.S. attorney in Hawaii from 2001 to 2009 where he fought crime in our community with integrity and fairness and now the Governor has nominated him to serve as a judge on the First Circuit Court.

The Senate received almost 200 pages of public endorsements of Ed Kubo from all over the country. But, some senators have used fabrications and gossip to keep him out for their own political agendas.

Kubo can still get appointed but we need your help! We have 3 more days until the full Senate vote on Ed Kubo’s nomination to the First Circuit Court, this is the drop dead vote. We can fight the status quo and shady business in our state capitol.

How can you help?

Attend our rally and local entertainment to support Ed Kubo! Tuesday, Feb. 2, State Capitol at 4:30 pm.

Please also join us at the capitol for the final vote by the Senate. Wednesday, Feb 3, State Capitol at 8:30 a.m. Please wear red, white and blue.

Please EMAIL or CALL the Senators. Here is a website created by a community supporter about our cause. http://sameoldpolitics.wordpress.com/. It contains the email addresses, photos and position of each Senator. Let them know you are disappointed and that they have lost your vote.

Become a fan of "Team Kubo" on Facebook

"There was overwhelming outpouring, from all sectors of the community, about this man's qualifications. And at no time was his integrity, his experience, his honesty, anything, questioned whatsoever," Sen. Sam Slom said at a confirmation hearing before the Senate Judiciary and Governmental Affairs Committee.

Thank you for your support. Our State needs Ed Kubo to continue his great service to the community.
