CANDIDATE FILING STARTS THE 2016 ELECTIONS

News Release from Hawaii Office of Elections

Pearl City, January 26, 2016 – Candidate filing for the 2016 Elections runs from February 1 through June 7, 2016. The candidate filing process allows qualified individuals to have their name appear on the ballot. Those interested in being a candidate may obtain and file a nomination paper at various locations statewide.

The deadline to file a nomination paper is Tuesday, June 7, 2016 at 4:30 p.m. To obtain an application for a nomination paper, and to view the Candidate’s Manual go to www.elections.hawaii.gov. The Candidate’s Manual contains information on how to become a candidate for federal, state, and county office, and the applicable filing fees and requirements.
