Hawaii Republican Party Convention Set for May 11
By News Release @ 12:34 PM :: 3413 Views :: Republican Party

Aloha Fellow Republicans!

From Hawaii Republican Party, May 5, 2019

I’m Greg Lussier, the Chairman of the Maui County Republican Party, your host of the 2019 Hawaii Republican Party State Convention.  The island of Maui is beloved for its world-famous beaches, migrating humpback whales, and magnificent Haleakala.  It’s not surprising Maui has been voted “Best Island in the US” by Conde Nast Traveler from more than 20 years.  Welcome to Maui.

The State Convention will be held at the beautiful King Kamehameha Golf Course, in the elegant and impressive Frank Lloyd Wright designed clubhouse. From the 700 foot elevation that overlooks the Central Maui valley, its 74,000 square feet is divided into three levels and is home to several Hawaiian art masterpieces.  You’ll be enthralled by the panoramic beauty of Mt. Haleakala.  It’s a spectacular setting our strategy and planning our direction of the party for the next election cycle!

The doors will open at 8:00am Saturday, May 11, 2019, to begin the credentialing process.  As we have many guests flying in from so many islands, we recommend that you make reservations with uber, lyft, or taxi service.  It’s about a 20 minute ride from the airport, and if you share a taxi ride with 3 other delegates, it should be around $10 each one way.  Our Credentials Chairman, Celyn Chong Kee, has been working very hard to make sure we have a smooth credentialing process, since we are processing over 200 delegates. There will be a very light continental breakfast of danishes, fruit, coffee and juices, and in the afternoon a beautiful buffet lunch.

In addition to passing resolutions and voting on rules amendments, we are having elections of our state officers.  The Elections Chairman, Mark White, will have detailed instructions upon your arrival at the Convention.  For your planning purposes, the following is a list of the candidates running for office.

Safe travels and see you in Maui!
