40 Days for LIFE Honolulu, Kick-Off Rally on Sunday, March 6 @ State Capitol from 4:00PM - 5:30PM

by Janet Grace, Hawai’i Right to Life

THIS SPRING, from March 9 to April 17, Honolulu is uniting with hundreds of other cities around the world for the largest and longest coordinated pro-life mobilization in history: the 40 Days for Life campaign.

Recognizing that “with God all things are possible,” people of faith are praying that this effort will help bring an end to the tragedy of abortion. 40 Days for Life is a focused pro-life campaign that has already mobilized over 400,000 people worldwide, saved nearly 3,600 lives from abortion, led to the conversion of 43 abortion workers, and seen nine abortion facilities close.

40 Days for Life is made up of three components:

  • Prayer and Fasting: believers throughout Hawai`i are invited to join together for 40 days of fervent prayer and fasting for an end to abortion
  • Peaceful Vigil: stand for life during a 40-day peaceful public witness outside the Planned Parenthood abortion facility at 1350 S King St, Honolulu (mauka side of street, 1/2 blk `ewa of Ke`eaumoku).
  • Community Outreach: help take a positive, upbeat pro-life message to every corner of our city through media efforts, advocacy, and public visibility.

Learn how you can speak for those who cannot speak for themselves here in Honolulu by contacting Mary at 389-2784 or marytom100@gmail.com or by visiting: www.40daysforlife.com/honolulu. Hawai’i Right to Life is the state affiliate of the National Right to Life Committee.

Pro-lifers in a record 247 locations in the United States, Armenia, Australia, Belize, Canada, England, Georgia, Ireland, and Spain are preparing for 40 Days for Life campaigns from March 9 to April 17. Hawai'i will host its own campaign in Honolulu, which will maintain a prayer vigil outside the Planned Parenthood abortion clinic at 1350 S. King St.

The 40 Days for Life campaign is a focused pro-life movement that has saved nearly 3,600 lives from abortion, led to the conversion of 43 abortion workers, and seen nine abortion facilities close. In addition to the children saved, thousands of women and their partners have been spared from the suffering, trauma, and regret that come with the decision to abort one's child.

In conjunction with the spring campaign, Hawaii Right to Life is excited to announce the broadcast of being HUMAN, the award winning documentary about 40 Days for Life on viewer-supported KALO-TV channel 38 (channel 25 on Oceanic). Being Human will air March 8, 10, and 11.

Hawaii Right to Life and KALO-TV wish to thank Red Brick Studio and executive producers Shawn Carney and Jeff Blaszak for making being HUMAN available to Hawai'i viewers. For more information, visit http://www.beinghumanshow.com/

If you appreciate having excellent pro-life broadcasting, we encourage you to support both Hawaii Right to Life and KALO-TV!
