LINDA LINGLE SENATE CAMPAIGN LAUNCHES MOBILE APP TO STAY CONNECTED, ENHANCE COMMUNICATIONS WITH THE PUBLIC

News Release from www.Lingle2012.com

HONOLULU - Former Governor Linda Lingle today announced the availability of a free mobile app for voters to stay connected and informed about the latest news surrounding her campaign for the U.S. Senate.

"More people than ever are getting their information online, often directly to their personal mobile devices, and I want to make sure Hawai'i voters have every opportunity to stay informed about this very important election," Governor Lingle said. "Also, the mobile app is another tool to help me stay connected with the people of Hawai'i, while providing them with timely information that is relevant to their families and businesses."

The free app is currently available for iPhones and Android-based systems, features campaign news updates, Morning Coffee with the General blog, campaign videos, public speaking event listings and photos as they occur. Other app features include a link to register as a volunteer with the campaign and also to contribute to the Linda Lingle Senate Campaign. Once the app is installed, users will be able to view the multimedia content.

"As someone who did not grow up with the electronic devices that are available on the market today, I see the tremendous potential for getting more information into more people's hands so they can make the best decision possible," said Maj. Gen. (ret.) Bob Lee, former State Adjutant General and campaign manager for the Linda Lingle Senate Committee.

"By embracing the latest information technology, Governor Lingle is continuing her commitment to enhance communications with the public and engage voters on every island on the key issues she feels are important to address" said Lenny Klompus, the campaign's Communications Director.

To install the Lingle 2012 App, use the browser on a mobile device to access the campaign's website app page at www.lingle2012.com/mobile-app. Click on the appropriate mobile app icon and the app will automatically download and install on the mobile device. The mobile app can also be downloaded directly from the Apple App Store or Android Market by searching for "Lingle."
