Hawaii Continues Losing Construction Jobs

With rail construction under way and the first pillar erected in Kapolei, the long promised upsurge in construction jobs just isn’t materializing. In the latest figures released today by the Association of General Contractors, Hawaii has lost another 300 construction jobs between April and May, 2012 and has lost 700 construction jobs since May, 2011. Union members who have been led to believe rail would put them back to work can now see that it simply isn’t happening.
