Duke and Lynn Launch Closing TV Ad

from www.AionaFinnegan.com

HONOLULU - Duke Aiona and Lynn Finnegan today announced the launch of their closing television ad, “Crowd Surfing,” in response to the negative campaigning of their opponents. "Crowd Surfing" focuses on the issues, highlighting Duke and Lynn’s plan to create job opportunities, strengthen the economy and reform public education, and asks Hawai‘i voters for their support on Tuesday, Nov. 2.

“We can’t afford the type of Washington big government, big spending, tax increases that my opponent wants to bring to Hawai‘i,” said Duke Aiona. “The people of Hawai‘i want an independent, principled leader who has real solutions for the big challenges facing our working families and small businesses. My opponent is attacking our grassroots campaign in order to deflect attention away from his Washington record and plan to cut programs or raise taxes to pay for his empty promises.”

"Our opponents are not giving straight answers to the people of Hawai‘i on important issues,” said Lynn Finnegan. "They simply cannot provide the types of government programs for which they advocate without raising the cost of living for our hard-working families and businesses. Our plan is simple: provide real, detailed solutions that will benefit all of Hawai‘i and spend within our means. The people of Hawai‘i recognize that we're looking out for their best interests, and our top priority will be jobs."

The 30-second television spot consists of an alternating voice over in which Duke and Lynn discuss their plans for jobs, the economy and education while the camera pans across a crowd of Hawai‘i small business owners, working families and citizens.

The video can be accessed online on Duke and Lynn's YouTube channel at www.YouTube.com/user/DukeAiona.

The following is a transcript of Duke and Lynn's new TV ad, "Crowd Surfing."

ANCR: A new chapter begins with Duke Aiona and Lynn Finnegan.

DUKE (as Voice Over): Our top priorities? The same as yours… jobs, on day one. Our jobs plan is bold, because you helped us write it.

LYNN (as VO): And we’ll improve education by spending 90 cents of every dollar in the classroom.

DUKE (as VO): And make sure Hawai‘i’s working families can keep more of their hard-earned money.

LYNN (as VO): But we can’t do it without your support.

DUKE: So we’re asking for your vote on Tuesday.
