Former tax cheat and anti-Superferry protester Senator Gary Hooser (D-Kaua`i) didn’t want O`ahu residents coming to his island. But now he wants to come to O`ahu—as Lt Governor. Hooser, who last made a name for himself supporting the August, 2007 blockade of Nawiliwili Harbor, on February 1st announced his “intention to run for the office of Lieutenant Governor in 2010.”

In his announcement Hooser invites readers to look at his campaign website www.GaryHooser.com. Listed on the right column of his site are links to other websites described as “Senator Gary Hooser’s Regular Reading Regime.” The 25 links include the Kailua, O`ahu-based anti-Semitic 9-11 conspiracy website www.WhatReallyHappened.com (WRH).

At WRH “Regular Readers” like Hooser may peruse an article from a Holocaust denier publication asserting: “(only) two to three hundred thousand Jews perished in Nazi concentration camps, but none in gas chambers.” Another WRH article touts a 1928 communist scheme to send Russian Jews to Siberia. There are literally hundreds of such articles interspersed between a selection of articles about Jewish child molesters, Jewish swindlers, and any other—mostly Jewish or “Israeli”--wrongdoing.

For Hooser’s “Regular Readers” who may be unfamiliar with What Really Happened on 9-11, the website has: “9-11: An inside job?” Another article asks: “9/11: WHAT DID THE GOVERNMENT KNOW AND WHEN DID IT KNOW IT?” and then in response explains:

The task was simple, deny the evidence, cover-up the embarrassing arrest of two Israelis with an explosives-tainted truck, and give the media a reason to return to the mantra of "all terror is caused by Muslims". But what started as a simply attempt to spin the news away from the Israelis arrested in Washington State has backfired on the Bush administration in a big way. In conducting the classic "limited hangout" of admitting to foreknowledge of the attacks of 9-11 in order to reassert the link to Osama bin Laden, Bush has handed opponents of his administration and opponents of World War the most damning proof yet that the reality of 9-11 is not what the US Government and media have been telling the American people it is.

The arrested Israelis posed a problem. History records in the Lavon Affair that Israelis willingly use bombs and lay false trails to Arabs for political gain. And it wasn't too long ago that JDL Chairman Irv Rubin was arrested for plotting to blow up a US Congressman who refused to toe the Israel party line. Then there were the two Mossad agents arrested inside the Mexican Congress with guns and explosives shortly after 9-11.  As the battered World Trade Towers collapsed, the very first suspects arrested, caught cheering as the towers fell, were Israelis, later identified as Mossad agents. The arrested spies worked for Urban Moving Systems, whose Israeli owner promptly fled the nation.

Hooser’s choice to link to the Holocaust deniers at WRH is not his only problem. He has a track record of winning election under an ethical cloud—a characteristic which may make him attractive to the state’s corruption-tainted Democrats.

A chapter of the recently released book KPD Blue, ironically posted on an anti-Superferry website, describes tax cheating discovered during Hooser’s successful 2004 Senate run:

“It was revealed during the campaign that Hooser had neglected to pay state withholding and excise taxes he collected from his employees at his magazine publishing company over an 11 year period….Eventually, the state forced Hooser to repay the $89,875 in taxes but in a deal Hooser cut with the tax collectors, they dropped any penalty or interest, which totaled another $50,440.”

Amazingly Hooser, in his Lt. Governor campaign announcement, claims to have “…a strong businesses background.”

In August 2007, Hooser backed the gangs of unruly protesters who vandalized Superferry passenger vehicles and obstructed the Port of Nawiliwili in an effort to keep O`ahu residents out. Hooser told the Kaua`i Garden Isle August 25, 2007:

“I’m appalled at the arrogance of Hawai`i Superferry and the Department of Transportation.… If it weren’t for (the protesters) involvement, there would perhaps be no Supreme Court decision (blocking the Superferry from Kaua`i)….”

But given that his campaign website says he is a “Regular Reader” of a Holocaust denier website, Hooser has to explain a lot more than his tax cheating and his support for anti-Superferry protesters.
