"I am supporting Alan Arakawa for mayor because Alan has demonstrated the kind of leadership that is needed to put Maui County back on track.   I believe Alan is prepared to make the right choices for the betterment of our families,  to work hard in revitalizing and creating a more competitive economy, and to provide tangible solutions for a sustainable Maui Nui that meets our needs today and for the generations yet unborn.  E holomua kakou!," said Kaho'ohalahala.

“I am humbled to have Councilmember Kaho'ohalahala's support and endorsement in this race.  It will take all of us working together to tackle the tough issues facing Maui County,” said Arakawa. “It’s time for us to stand together to revitalize our local economy.  As a community, we will find a solution, and I very much look forward to doing so with the business and nonprofit organizations, as well as community leaders such as Sol.”

In addition to receiving Kaho'ohalahala's endorsement, Arakawa has received an endorsement by former mayoral candidate Randy Piltz.
