Reasons Hawaii Cannot Afford Neil Abercrombie #5

Abercrombie Is Weak on Defense and Security

from www.GOPHawaii.com

Neil Abercrombie has not made the safety and security of our state and nation a priority.  As Congressman, he had a reputation for bucking heads with those who were trying to keep our country safe, secure and free.

He voted against encouraging antiterrorism cooperation through the Technology and Science Act This innovative bill facilitated the exchange of information amongst our allies including Israel, the United Kingdom, Canada and Australia and outlined a comprehensive homeland security strategy that would be mutually beneficial for all allied countries.  (Vote 105, 2/27/07).

He voted against the National Defense Authorization Act of 2007, which outlined the full funding of the budget and expenditures of the U.S. Department of Defense for the fiscal year.  (Vote 1128, 12/05/07)

He voted against adopting the recommendations of the bipartisan 9/11 Commission, which worked for nearly two years to provide an accurate description of the September 11 attacks and identify the problems that led to the success of the attack.   (Vote 523, 10/08/04)
