Duke Aiona: What's Next?
By Lt Gov Duke Aiona @ 11:29 PM :: 7049 Views :: Politicians, Republican Party

Aloha Kalikimaka     December 24, 2014

Mele Kalikimaka! Can you believe it’s been over 6 weeks since the 2014 general election? I hope all is well with you and your ‘ohana. There is much coming for Hawaii!

The results of the 2014 Elections were not what we hoped for, but I’m grateful for so many things: for many new relationships, for the generosity of many families, and for the 138,000 people who voted for Trust, Respect, and Balance!

A day does not go by without people from all walks of life approaching me to congratulate us for running a principled race and encouraging me to do it again!!! Our ‘ohana was honored by the opportunity and are truly thankful for your support and aloha.

Many ask, “What’s next?” First, I will continue my legal practice with an emphasis on Estate Planning, Family Law, and Mediation.

I am excited to let you know that on January 5, 2015 I will co-host the “808 State Update” daily radio show on 940 am KKNE, along-side producer and co-host Dawn Obrien. The show will air Monday through Friday from 3pm – 5pm.

Our mission is to inspire, educate, and engage Hawaii’s citizens about our state’s political process in order to increase government participation and voter turnout throughout the state, it will also cover many 808 State topics such as Sports, Finance, Education, Health as well as a daily educational feature on civics and great surprise guests.

For the Aiona ‘ohana it has been a fantastic year of growth and maturity. This campaign allowed us to grow in wisdom and to appreciate the value of love and friendship. I intend to remain in contact with all of you through periodic emails. Again have a great Christmas and a fabulous New Year.

Aloha ke ‘Akua!

Duke
