The December 23, 2018 issue of The Environmental Notice is now available online for your review.
Also, the Environmental Council, at its meeting on December 18, adopted the final proposed rules to replace Chapter 11-200, Hawaiʻi Administrative Rules, which implement the environmental review process established in Chapter 343, Hawaiʻi Revised Statutes.
The proposed rules now go before the Small Business Regulatory Review Board, which issues a recommendation to the Governor on the impact of implementing the rules. The SBRRB is expected to review the rules in January, and the Governor is likely to receive them for consideration in February 2019.
Continue to check here for updates to the process; in the meantime, we suggest stakeholders and practitioners of the environmental review process become familiar with the new proposed rules.
