Screening committee selects three KS trustee finalists

News Release from KSBE, February 12, 2019

A screening committee appointed by the state Probate Court has selected three finalists to replace Kamehameha Schools Trustee Corbett Kalama whose term ends on June 30, 2019. They are:  Anton Krucky, Coralie Chun Matayoshi and Crystal Rose.

Anton Krucky is co‐founder, president and CEO of the regenerative medicine company Tissue Genesis. Krucky’s decades of leadership experience include serving as an IBM executive in global product development, marketing and sales.

Krucky shares his time and energy with numerous community organizations. He is currently vice chair of the Board of Governors for Chaminade University, and has served as chairman of the Bishop Museum Board of Directors, and as a board director for Child and Family Service.

Coralie Chun Matayoshi is CEO of the American Red Cross of Hawai‘i. As an attorney, she previously served as a part-time District Court judge for the State of Hawai‘i, executive director of the Hawai‘i State Bar Association and trial attorney for the U.S. Department of Justice Antitrust Division.

Chun Matayoshi served for five years on the University of Hawai‘i Board of Regents and is currently on the Hawai‘i Visitors & Convention Bureau Board of Directors and the Diamond Head Theater Community Advisory Board.

Crystal Rose is a founding partner of the law firm Bays Lung Rose Holma, and specializes in real estate, trust, business and construction litigation. She is also an expert in corporate governance and has served on the boards of Central Pacific Bank, Hawaiian Airlines and Hawaiian Electric Company.

Rose is a Kamehameha Schools alumnus who has given back to her community in many ways, including serving as a trustee of The Nature Conservancy; a board member for the Boys and Girls Club of Hawai’i; and a member of the advisory boards of Kamehameha Schools, Assets School and Catholic Charities Hawai‘i.
