Experience and Accountability

Message to Supporters from Hanabusa Campaign, Nov 14, 2019

Together, we’ve won some very tough campaigns, and we’ve also had our share of setbacks. Regardless of past outcomes, I have always felt so thankful to consider you a friend and supporter.

Today, our island home of Oahu sits at a crossroads.

Now, more than ever before, we need experienced leadership, transparency, and accountability in our local government.

I see a stronger and more united Honolulu in our future—and I hope you do, too.

My vision for Honolulu includes ensuring affordable housing options for local families, clearing our streets and parks of homeless encampments while we find humane solutions, and working with state and federal agencies to get the rail back on track.

Currently, there is a serious lack of vision and progress on the issues that are plaguing the City and County of Honolulu. As Mayor, I will use my experience and leadership to tackle these issues.

I am ready to take a stand on the tough issues and I have the leadership experience to know how to effect change. I consider myself a strong leader and I demand the best from people, but I also strive to lead with compassion. I’ve never forgotten my own roots and I know how difficult it can be for so many in our community to make ends meet.

I am ready to lead the City and County of Honolulu and I hope you’ll join me. With you by my side, with determination and commitment, there is nothing we can’t accomplish.

I look forward to hearing from you during the campaign and working together to get Honolulu back on track.

With Aloha,

Colleen

PS. Stay tuned for more information when we announce our official kickoff event and please don’t hesitate to reach us at info@hanabusa2020.com at any time if you have questions.
