Why is it hard to buy and sell cryptocurrency in Hawaii?

from Grassroot Institute

Digital currencies have had a hard time getting established in Hawaii because of the state's overly conservative regulations

Hawaii is the worst state in the nation for cryptocurrency, due to the state's strict and confusing regulations.

If it hadn't been for Gov. Josh Green's veto of SB945, which came out of the 2023 legislative session, the situation in Hawaii for bitcoin and all the other digital currencies in circulation would be even worse.

In it's newest "Hawaii Matters" video, the Grassroot Institute explains why digital money has been having such a hard time in Hawaii, and what can be done at the legislative level to make the state more friendly to this worldwide business phenomenon.
