2026 Maui Mayoral Candidate Forum, held on August 6, 2026 at Maui Beach Hotel, featured candidates Richard Bissen and Yuki Lei Sugimura, as voted on by Maui Chamber members.

The forum was presented in partnership with the Construction Industry of Maui, Maui Hotel & Lodging Association and the REALTORS® Association of Maui.

The Maui Chamber emphasizes that the forum was strictly educational and informational in nature. As a non-partisan and non-sectarian business organization, the Chamber does not endorse, rank, recommend, or advocate for or against candidates through this forum.

The format was designed to provide participants with an equal opportunity to hear directly from each candidate in a respectful, informative setting and to encourage informed civic engagement.
