Djou for Hawaii -- September 19, 2010

from www.Djou.com

Honolulu, HI - Congressman Charles Djou (HI-01) issued the following statement after winning the Republican primary for Hawaii's First Congressional District:

"I am humbled that the voters of Hawaii's First Congressional District have placed their trust in me. Once again, the voters have spoken: the status quo in Hawaii and in Congress is unacceptable and they want change. Over the next 45 days, I look forward to taking our message of fiscal responsibility and government accountability to all parts of this Congressional district and earning the people's trust to represent them in the U.S. House."

From www.NRCC.org

“With another victory behind him, Charles Djou enters the general election with momentum and a strong, unified base of support while Democrats continue to struggle to unify after bitter contests. Djou faces the Democrats’ second choice candidate, Colleen Hanabusa, in November in an election of striking contrasts. Djou fights to end wasteful government spending, create jobs in Hawaii and lower taxes for middle-class families. On the other hand, Hanabusa wants to continue to raise taxes, spend taxpayer dollars recklessly and grow the size of government.” – Joanna Burgos, NRCC Spokeswoman
